Plug’n Drive’s Mobile EV Education Trailer offers hands-on EV education at IKEA Calgary
Calgary, AB – June 4, 2026 – Residents of Calgary will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of an electric vehicle (EV) when Plug’n Drive brings its Mobile EV Education Trailer (MEET) to the city from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
Located at IKEA Calgary, MEET Calgary offers free, no-pressure EV test drives and education in a welcoming, sales-free environment. Visitors can explore a range of electric vehicles, connect with EV Ambassadors, ask questions, and learn more about charging, costs, range, and the benefits of driving electric.
MEET Calgary is part of Plug’n Drive’s 2026 EVs are for EVeryone Cross-Canada Tour, which is partially funded by Natural Resources Canada and championed by RBC. The Tour brings hands-on EV education and test-drive opportunities to communities across Canada.
“Plug’n Drive’s goal is to make EV education clear, approachable, and unbiased,” said Cara Clairman, President and CEO of Plug’n Drive. “At MEET Calgary, our EV Ambassadors are there to answer questions about charging, range, costs, and vehicle options, helping Calgarians leave with information that is relevant to their needs. We want visitors to be able to explore electric transportation at their own pace and feel more confident in the choices available to them.”

- Must be 21+ with a full, unrestricted driver’s license
- Prefer not to drive? An EV Ambassador can drive for you
- Passengers aged 8+ welcome with a parent or guardian
