Free Electric Vehicle Test Drives Coming to Edmonton July 23-August 30

Plug’n Drive’s Western Mobile EV Education Trailer brings hands-on EV education to AMA Edmonton South

Edmonton, AB – July 20, 2026 – Edmonton residents and visitors will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of an electric vehicle (EV) this summer when Plug’n Drive brings its Western Mobile EV Education Trailer (MEET) to AMA Edmonton South from July 23 to August 30, 2026.

As part of Plug’n Drive’s 2026 EVs are for EVeryone Cross-Canada Tour, MEET Edmonton will offer free EV test drives and education every Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Tour is partially funded by Natural Resources Canada and championed by RBC, with local support from the Alberta Motor Association (AMA) and the Electric Vehicle Association of Alberta (EVAA). MEET Edmonton is designed to give Albertans a practical, approachable way to learn about electric vehicles in a sales-free environment. Visitors can explore a range of EV models, take a free test drive with Plug’n Drive EV Ambassadors, and ask questions about charging, range, vehicle performance, operating costs, incentives, winter driving, and how EVs fit into everyday life.

“MEET Edmonton gives drivers the chance to experience electric vehicles in a way that is practical, local, and pressure-free,” said Cara Clairman, President and CEO of Plug’n Drive. “Albertans can ask questions about EV ownership, from charging and range to highway travel and seasonal driving conditions. Our EV Ambassadors are there to provide clear, unbiased information so people can make decisions based on their own needs.”
